Week away

Leaving town tomorrow! Going to Cleburne and Dallas while Cliff is away :(

WWII

I am really interested in everything that has to do with WWII for some reason. It is very interesting. I am sad because when you think about in, the next 10 years or so, all of the people that remember WWII first hand are going to be gone? Will the next generation hold up all of those memories? I think not.

Poor Sweet Delilah

Today Colden, Delilah, and I went on a quick walk. Colden was still in his PJs, and I just barely grabbed him a snack. We had been gone about 7 minutes, when we were coming to the intersection of Tank Destroyer and Casa Blanca. There was a girl there with two large dogs who was apparently waiting for us to pass so she could go the direction we were coming from. Well, her dogs didn't feel like waiting. They worked together and charged us and completely pulled her along, going up to Delilah. I thought they were going to be friendly, but Delilah started screaming and they started biting. One bit her back leg and one bit her neck. I could not for the life of me get out of there or get Delilah released. It was terrible. All I could think to do was scream at the girl who was "handling" (or not so much) the dogs. It was terrible, but luckily we all lived through it. Took Delilah to the vet who glued up here neck wound and just cleaned the other spots up. He gave her some pain medication, and now we are just babying her! Luckily Cliff came to our rescue, because I knew I was in too big of a frenzy to walk back alone carrying Delilah and pushing the stroller. Colden was in the stroller unharmed, but keeps saying "Black dog, mean."

feeling sorry for DEV PSYC

so i truly am feeling sorry for my developmental psyc class right now. it is really interesting and wonderful, but i have been craming the entire class into mondays so i have the rest of the week to work on biology. its funny, but kinda annoying, because i need to know this stuff, and the biology is, umm, not important for me......

half way down

-half way done with my classes.

-AND i am now successfully making an A in Biology (which 2 weeks ago I was hoping just to pass!)

-finished the two panels of Turner's curtains with my new sewing machine

-cleaned the house and did laundry

- taught Colden his first memory verse and he is saying it without help.

- "Every word of God proves true." Proverbs 30:5 (he is SO cute)

feeling pretty successful right now. i hope this sticks around for a bit.

snow day!

woke up this morning to a beautiful blanket of snow. although thin, it is still so beautiful, and it really did insulate the cold a bit. colden has been excited all day. we walked (actually RAN) to the park. there were some grown men there sledding down a very small hill. i love how snow brings that out in everyone. living in a community of soldiers, there are people here from all over the US and some are really missing their snowy states, so this is a blessing from home for them. took some pictures. i really need to get better at posting those. did a video of us walking (running) on the same sidewalk that i videoed of us in the snow last year. i suppose next year will be a possibility, too. turner will have to be bundled in a snow suit or in the moby wrap or something.

i love my family. looking forward to a weekend with my boys. praying for the travelers for the super bowl, and my family that has to deal with them in dallas.
