forgotten

sometimes i just feel forgotten. some days there is a ton going on, and several people call and check on me. some days it doesn't seem like anyone remembers that i exist. it is not a good feeling.

being at home alone is sometimes good. after so many days in a row, it's starting to wear on me.

looking in on others.

So do you ever find yourself looking at someone else's pictures and thinking, "WOW, I wish I had it all together like they do!" When really everyone has issues.
Pictures we post online are never the ones of us screaming at each other, being annoyed with each other, ignoring our children, or eating two cinnamon rolls because we can't stop. The pictures that we share are the ones that reflect what we WANT our lives to be like all the time. I guess it's just like the movies. Everyone on movies seems to have it together, but it's probably because they don't have to go to work, they were not up all night with their baby getting spit up on, and they aren't being repeated at "MOM, MOM, MOM, MOM!!!" They are also pretending to be someone that they are not, which is way more fun than reality.
i'm in a funk...............

waking up

Waking up in the morning to your infant next to you is such a sweet time that passes in the blink of an eye. This is about the time I moved Colden into his own room. I really am not ready for moving Turner. He usually wakes up about 2x a night to eat, and the second one being 530 or later. After that, I put him in bed with me to snuggle, and we both go back to sleep. He is so sweet.

Look at this cutie pie! Turner Dean 2 months.

Turner was really tired after much screaming this day. Fell asleep in Gram's arms while she was on the phone with Cliff.

July 28th

Today Tuner got shots. :) The recommended shot schedule says 6 vaccines for a 2 month old. Umm, NO. So we went with three. He got his first Heb B, and then Dr.Sears recommends DTap, and the oral rotavirus. If you are new to parenting, or interested in nursing, shots, baby care in general, I recommend ANYTHING by Dr.Sears. He is great, and very unbiased.

We are getting into the swing of things around here. Turner is a little bit more predictable lately. Trying to get him figured out before I start Colden on a home preschool schedule. I think we will start Aug 22. It will be half day, 3 days a week, with a 4th day for 'exploring the world around us' or 'fieldtrips' to places like Petsmart to see the fish, or to the park, or maybe just to Target. Anything can be a learning experience, and IS a learning experience with a 2 year old. By next year (3-4), I plan on having a curriculum. Not sure if I will start him in Kindergarten at 4 or 5, just depends on how the next two years play out. I am excited. :)
