Soul Surfer

What a great movie. I loved it. And, much more, I loved it because 13 min into the movie, they were filming at the VERY SPOT Cliff and I got married. WOW! I immediately burst into tears. They show the spot on two different scenes and I watched each one over and over! I love him!

Falling on my knees.....

Hungry I run to you for I know you satisfy.
I am empty, but I know your love does not run dry.
So I wait, for you.
So I wait, for you.

I'm falling on my knees.
Offering all of me.
Jesus, you're all this heart is living for.

Broken, I run to you for your arms are open wide.
I am weary, but I know your touch restores my life.
So I wait, for you.
So I wait, for you.

Cutie Tootie

Poem's by Cliff, my love

Stole Away

In the deepest darkness she crept

A whisper of the night

Just another shadow

Sliding in the room

With a soft breath in my ear

She stole away

No words spoken and my heart in her hands

Here I wait for her return

My heart still in her hand

I don’t mind it being gone

But she doesn’t know its there

Content to wait

For her return

I slumber still today

If forever I am doomed to sleep

All I ask is this

If one day she sees my heart

I don’t want it back

I wish for her to come to me

And place her hand in mine

Please don’t lock away my heart

With the others I’m sure you’ve stole

But if you decide to bring it back

It will not make me whole

For no longer will my heart survive

It will cease to beat alone

But if it is kept close to yours

Forever will it be known

I loved you from the first day forth

Never have I ceased

Only too late did I see that

You always loved me too

It wasn’t you that stole my heart

But I that stole from you

For to this day I still cannot

Believe you loved me too.

A poem

Treasure

I found a treasure

Beyond all every normal measure

I looked and looked

But couldn’t find

Where could it be

Losing my mind

Could it be I didn’t see

The riches right in front of me

A wondrous treasure

A priceless gem

A jewel to outshine the sun

More valuable than gold

More precious than silver

No treasure chest can contain it

No other man can ever claim it

I found my fortune in her eye

A wealth no man can buy

A treasure I call love.

Cliff wrote this while we were deployed together. Oh, I love him so much.

Cloth Diaper Fun Fact of the Day

Here is the fun (fun?) fact of the day:

If we were using disposables, we would have used roughly about 900 diapers at this point. WOW!

Days Go Bye

Wake up to a smile, a hug, and a toot.
Breakfast, always the same.

Go about our play as we did before.
Legos, cars, and Thomas the Train.

A snack here, a drink there, a spank with a wooden spoon,
Daytime goes by each day with Mommy waiting for the moon.

Boys in the bath, boys in the bed, Mommy comes down the stairs.
Wishing for the love of her life to be here. He's always in her prayers.

All day waiting for night, and all night wishing for day.
365 of these without him, wish there was another way.

Our love for our country, and a job to be done, this is where we have been called.
Although it is hard, we will get through it, even though it seems really hard.

God will protect Daddy, He promised me this**, just listen to His voice.
Before we know it, we will be united again. And again this was our choice.

Days go Bye, day in and day out, in frenzy or calm like the sea.
I get through each one, because I know, that Cliff and God both love me.

**When Cliff and I were praying about whether to get out of the Army, or stay in, I came across a verse in prayer- Proverbs 1:33 (and 33 is the number of our MOS when we came in the Army)
"but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm." This is a promise I live by, because He who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23

Galatians

Been reading thru Galatians in the New Living. Usually don't really like that translation. It is really interesting. Thought I would high light a few verses.

2:17-19"But what if we seek to be made right with God through faith in Christ and then find out we are still sinners? Has Christ led us into sin? Of course not! Rather, I make myself guilty if I rebuild the old system I already tore down. For when I tried to keep the law, I realized I could never earn God's approval. So I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ."
3: 2-3" Did you receive the Holy Spirit by keeping the law? Of course not, for the Holy Spirit came upon you only after you believed the message you heard about Christ. Have you lost your senses? After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?"
5:22-23 "But when the Holy Sprit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Here there is no conflict with the law."
(all BOLD emphasis mine)

Wanted to add more, but Turner Dean is up!

visitors

i love having people stay at my house. it is so different than having guests during the day.

i thought i was going to move TD into his own room tonight, but i chickened out. i'm not ready to give up his status as 'infant' sleeping in the bassinet in my room. they grow up too fast!

went running tonight, and there were 4 gals outside at different houses. the other night i was praying to get a friend that lived in the neighborhood. i met a girl names veronica that night. tonight, i met four girls. i went and introduced myself after my run. two of the girls were frantically searching the internet for a friend who apparently disappeared with some guy last night. the guy said he was in the army, but when they called the MPs, I guess he wasn't in the database. weird. i'm going to have to go back over to check in a couple days.

Like I said........

Schedule/Preschool

OK. After my huge melt down last week, I am doing much better. I had a couple of pretty smooth days in Dallas with help, and last night was my first night alone in over a week. Today has gone very well, considering.
I'm getting things lined up for preschool here at the house. It is exciting. Although it won't be too detailed or in depth, just learning for Colden, learning for me, and thats about it. REALLY glad I am not starting classes as Liberty until October. October is still fast approaching, which is good and bad. Consistency is what my children have been silently asking from me for a while now, and that is exactly what I want to give them. It has been a free for all, but now that I am getting used to Cliff being gone, and Turner is more predictable, looks like we are going to be spending MOST mornings here at home. Our schedule will look something like this:
MONDAY- up about 8, school 8:30-11:30, lunch, nap 2-4
TUESDAY- PWOC 9-12, lunch, nap 2-4
WEDNESDAY- up about 8, school 8:30-11:30, lunch, nap 2-4
THURSDAY- up about 8, school 8:30-11:30, lunch, nap 2-4
FRIDAY- activity day/lunch out (sometimes packed lunch, sometimes chick fil a or something)
Normal weekends. SO really, its only about 9 hours of "school" and they will be broken up into 15 min increments of different things. We also will have themes. For example: Yellow day. We wear yellow, color sunflowers, learn about the sun, eat bananas, shop for squash, go through the house finding yellow things, etc. I am excited to have SCHEDULED time to play with Colden. Obviously, Turner will be napping through some of it, but he will also be 'involved'. Our school is totally portable, so if we need to help at the church one day or go to Dallas, we can do the same there. This week I will be going out buying supplies like paper plates, pipe cleaners, paint brushes, bags of macaroni noodles and dry beans, etc. School starts Aug 22. :)

Texas Registration

Today, I watched Maddy (3) while Amanda took her 2 month old to get her shots. Colden tells me nearly everyday that he is "going to marry Maddy." While she was here, she told Colden that there were monsters in his closet, and then locked him out of his room. He still loves her.
When Amanda came back, she had about an hour til she had to take Maddy to swim lessons.
She stayed at the house while I went to get the state registration on the car renewed. It was 11:50. As I drove up I saw gobs of people outside. Saying it looked busy doesn't even come close. As I was looking for a parking spot in the full lot, I was praying "God. Please help me thru this. Allow this to work." Suddenly, I got the children's song in my head "only believe, only believe, all things are possible, only believe." So I decided to check it out. I walked in and they were on 90, I pulled number 140. Yeah, not going to happen. So I went to the gas station to top off, and get some toilet paper cause my house ran out. Well, the store ran out, too. So I came home, empty handed, because Amanda was going to have to leave with Maddy. She took her to swim lessons, and Sweet Sydney (2months) stayed with me, Colden, and Turner. She came back about 1:15, and I thought surely, they had skipped my number already. Amanda told me just to go. So I took Turner Man and went up there. We got a front parking spot, but there were still gobs of people. Walked in the door and they were on 136 (my number was 140). Not only that but 137, 138, and 139 didn't show. So basically I was next. I didn't even have time to text Amanda and tell her thanks for making me go. We were at the counter 10 min, then back home. Not saying that every time you pray to God for help this will happen, but once again, 'he who promised is faithful!' Only believe, only believe, all things are possible, only believe.

Our Napping Dilemma......

My sweet Turner. He is having trouble taking a nap for longer than 45 min on his own. He takes a steady 45 min in the morning, then the same in the afternoon. The thing is, he wakes up, but he is still really tired. I got him back to sleep after his 45 min this afternoon and he slept for more than 2 more hours. Obviously, he wasn't ready to wake up. I think having a normal schedule will curb this. Otherwise, this is going to be a stressful household.

Off to WalMart in the 100 degree heat. Wish me luck!
Got to see Cliff on Skype. It was good to see his face. Colden kept saying, "That's my daddy? That's my daddy! That's my daddy? That's my daddy!" Like he wasn't 100% sure.Cliff got promoted today. 3 days after our SEVEN year mark, he gets his Sergeant. Finally. Congrats Love!
